If you’re looking for something French and lacy you’ve got the wrong girl. I love this line. It’s my daydream line. The line I think of when I’m busy cleaning, cooking and making the house shine and sparkle. Down on my knees, rings around the toilet, grime encrusted. Lid up, lid down, the use is evident. Wasn’t it only last week that I put my elbow grease and salted tears to make the porcelain gleam? The sweat of my brow, toil, exertion, slog and drudgery these are the words that roll off my tongue in silence as I scrub and labor to clean the detritus of life’s refuse from the bathroom fixtures. Don’t ask if I have any work to do. Ooh la, la.
I look at the time, it’s early in the day, just morning, the time of fresh starts and eyes wide open.
